About Sort and Package Winter Clothing for Children in Port Chester

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, volunteers are needed to help The Sharing Shelf organize, sort and package clothing for local children. The Sharing Shelf is Westchester's first clothing bank for infants, children and teens and we distribute clothing through more than 50 food pantries, schools, hospitals and nonprofits in our county. The program was founded by a volunteer, is run by volunteers, and we rely on volunteers to accomplish our work. We've seen more than a 30% increase in demand for clothing in 2014 and need your help to meet the demand.

Be a part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.

*This is a family-friendly project for children 10 and over. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service brings together hundreds of volunteers in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam for service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions. Join us and make this a day on, not a day off. http://www.volunteernewyork.org/mlk
