About Share the Dream Collage in Yonkers

When Martin Luther King Jr. declared that he had a dream for a more peaceful and united society, he envisioned that one day little children of all races would be able to walk down the street hand-in-hand. He hoped that one day America would overcome the longstanding racial barriers, and today we have certainly come a long way.

Join Volunteer New York! on Saturday, January 17th to create a "Share the Dream collage" of dreams for our community and the world.

This is a great opportunity for families and youth to be involved in MLK Day of Service. After reading Dr. King's famous speech, volunteers will create a collage to share his message with others. The completed collage will be hung at Thomas Cornell Academy and used as a teaching point for students.

Volunteers are requested to bring old magazines that can be cut up.

The project will take place in the Community Room.

*This is a family-friendly project for children 4 and over. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!
