About Senior Law Day - Event Ambassadors Needed

About the event
On October 17th the Department of Senior Programs and Services will host Westchester County’s 14th Annual Senior Law Day at the County Center in White Plains. This free program will feature about a dozen workshops on elder law topics of interest to seniors and caregivers such as “Estate Planning,” “Medicare and the new Affordable Care Act” and “What Happens if I Can’t Manage My Financial Affairs?” Seniors will also be able to access free, 15-minute one-on-one consultation with an attorney, certified financial planner or geriatric care manager to discuss their personal situation.

How you can help
We are looking for volunteers who can help guide visitors to workshops and information stations. Volunteer ambassadors will answer the questions of guests, help to direct visitors to workshops and provide other on-site assistance as need be. We also need volunteers who can help publicize the event by distributing flyers and hanging posters.
