About Nyack Beach Clean Up Event on Make a Difference Day

New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Palisades Interstate Park Commission Nyack Beach State Park Volunteer Clean-Up Event: October 26th, 10 AM- 2 PM

On October 26th, from 10 AM- 2 PM, there will be a volunteer day event at Nyack Beach State Park. Volunteers are needed to help trim brush back from the newly completed river trail. The park will supply all the tools but it is asked that volunteers please bring own work gloves if possible.

Nyack Beach State Park is one of four parks in the Hook Mountain section of the Palisades region. It consists of 76 acres at the base of Hook Mountain in Upper Nyack. It is the southern terminus of the first section of the Hudson River Greenway and is one of the best hawk and raptor viewing areas in the U.S. Hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, and cross-country skiing are among the activities popular here. For more information about volunteering with the cleanup at Nyack Beach, please contact Park Manager Chris Nielsen at [email protected] or call (845) 268-3020
