About Make Sandwiches for Those in Need

Community Service Associates http://www.csasoupkitchen.org/

Volunteers are needed to make brown bag lunches that are given to clients who come to the breakfast program.

With the average cost of breakfast and lunch in Westchester well above $5, many people cannot afford the high cost of food and bypass meals to save money. Community Service Associates runs a hot breakfast program to help clients start their morning with a nutritious meal and gives out brown bag lunches so that clients can eat during the day.

This opportunity is an extension of Volunteer New York!’s “9/11: Serve + Remember” Day of Service event. There are almost 30 meaningful ways you can give back in your community from September 11th through the 13th and honor the memories of those who were lost by being a part of this community-wide action event. For more information please visit www.volunteernewyork.org/service or call 914-948-4452.

Family-Friendly
