About Make Greeting Cards for Seniors

Westchester Jewish Community Services http://www.wjcs.com

Did you know that seniors who are connected to their communities experience measurable improvements in their physical, social, spiritual, emotional, mental and economic well-being?

Something as simple as a meal, note or phone call can go a long way to keeping a senior, especially a homebound senior, connected to the community.

Volunteers are needed to create greeting cards for the WJCS Senior Programs, including "get well soon", "thinking of you", and "birthday" cards.

Cards will be handed out by program volunteers to seniors who need an extra bit of love.

This opportunity is an extension of Volunteer New York!’s “9/11: Serve + Remember” Day of Service event. There are almost 30 meaningful ways you can give back in your community from September 11th through the 13th and honor the memories of those who were lost by being a part of this community-wide action event. For more information please visit www.volunteernewyork.org/service or call 914-948-4452.
