About FDR Vine Cutting

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, help protect native trees in FDR State Park by cutting and removing invasive vines. This is a labor intensive, but fun project. FDR State Park staff will provide trimmers and work gloves. Please dress appropriately for the weather in layers and it is highly suggested you bring warm gloves for under the work gloves.

Specific location in the park will be determined based on ground conditions and accessibility.

*This is a family-friendly project for children 10 and over. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service brings together hundreds of volunteers in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam for service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions. Join us and make this a day on, not a day off. http://www.volunteernewyork.org/mlk
