About Clothing Sorting in White Plains

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, volunteers will be sorting clothing donations (by gender, size and season).

Participants will be able to pack "Bags of Love" containing a week’s worth of clothing for local children in need. Age, size and related specifications are given and the volunteers are asked to create outfits and put together a personalized bag which has been requested by the child's social worker or related professional.

Join us for this MLK Day project.

*This is a family-friendly project for children 12 and over with an adult. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up with a team. Thanks!

About WJCS' Pass It On...Kids' Kloset: Kid's Kloset provides new and gently-used children's clothes and essentials (strollers, carseats, diapers) to local families in need. Donations made by the community are sorted and repackaged by volunteers for distribution through social service agencies, houses of worship, schools, shelters and community groups.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service brings together hundreds of volunteers in Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam for service projects that strengthen communities, empower individuals, bridge barriers, and create solutions. Join us and make this a day on, not a day off. http://www.volunteernewyork.org/mlk
