About Associate Board Member

The Spring Development Initiative (TSDI) is an international organization committed to empowering young leaders working towards increased citizen participation in governance, and improved health, economic and educational attainment in their communities. We provide training and development, mentoring and collaboration, and access to scholarships and investments.

The purpose of our associate board is to build the next generation of leaders for TSDI. Their mission is to drive resources and raise awareness to help us achieve our overall programmatic mission. The role of an Associate Board member carries with it the responsibility to serve as a committed supporter and thoughtful advocate for Spring Development Initiative.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities that members will take on are shown below.

1. Members are required to make a financial commitment to the associate board, achieved through a combination of in-kind gifts, friendraising, ticket sales to fundraising events and their own contributions.

2. Members will together on a regular and scheduled basis to ensure they are actively engaged, contributing, and up-to-date with happenings and initiatives for the organization.

3. Members will work on projects or events throughout the year to help spread awareness and drive resources for the organization.

Qualifications:

- College graduate and young professional working in the Seattle area
- Strong understanding of how nonprofits work and previous connections desired
- Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to learn quickly

All applications are due November 30, 2018. You are expected to join the associate board meeting 6 times in the year, as well as other events and log your all volunteer hours online.
