Looking for a way to make an impact on the lives of Alexandria’s girls? Spitfire seeks volunteers to mentor small groups of 3-5 Spitfire girls during their after school Spitfire Club each week, beginning in October of 2024 and running through the end of the 2024-2025 school year!

What to expect?: Mentorship takes place on the same weekday each week (when school is in session) for ~90 mins during the after school hours of 2:30 - 5:30 pm. Specific timing and location vary, but all programming takes place in Alexandria City, hosted by one of our school or community center partners. Spitfire Club staff guide mentors and groups of mentees through Spitfire Club lessons and activities that nurture our girls' love of reading, love of self, and love for their peers within their Spitfire Community. Mentors are also invited to join periodic family engagement events as well as community-building opportunities amongst our mentors and volunteers.
