About 2014 National Assembly

The 2014 National Assembly of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be an exciting event that you will not want to miss. Here are some of the things that the Georgia Council has planned:

1) Wednesday:
--Braves vs. Pirates at Turner Field, 5:30 PM – Prior to the game we will march around the field and the Society will be promoted on signs around the field.
2) Thursday:
--Retreat with Bishop Quinn
--Opening keynote with Allen Hunt.
--Workshops begin
--Celebration of Hope in Action, 6:30 PM – This event will be held at the new National Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta, just blocks from our hotel. Come see if you can spot your favorite civil rights leader.
3) Friday:
--Workshops to help Vincentians serve people in need. Workshop tracks include: Voice of the Poor/Advocacy, Spirituality, Systemic Change, Practical Tools, Best Practices, and Collaboration
--Luncheon keynote with Donna Beegle
--Free-time to explore the city
4) Saturday:
--Last day of workshops
--Luncheon keynote with Bill Bolling of the Atlanta Community Food Bank
--Scriptural Roots of Social Justice Panel
--Closing Banquet/Entertainment
