About Sack Lunch Program
Food is not only a core human physical need, but also a source of joy, replenishment, and even community – and at The Salvation Army, we believe everyone deserves access to the food they need to survive and thrive. That’s why in addition to a wide range of other services, we’re proud to offer a Lunch program for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or anyone who need a ready to eat meal, served to anyone who comes through our door. Many working adult paychecks aren’t enough to sustain them fully, so we also see working people take part in our lunch service. Because of the main points above and inflation, many are struggling to meet nutritional needs. Either being forced to eat unhealthy foods due to a lack of funds or not eating at all; which effects every part of us.
We currently provide each day 60 lunches to folks in the community. We are seeking help in making of the sandwiches and other items in the sack lunch.
