About The Robert James Leonard Foundation

Extrapolating current US trends, 12 million students will drop out of school over the next decade. An integrated advisor or mentor is important in bridging the gap for students navigating education and career life choices. Students with the benefits of these guidance services have an increased chance at upward social mobility and becoming successful community members. Conversely, students who do not have access to cultural capital or mentors often drop out, never reaching their full potential.

Youth in foster care are particularly at-risk, as they generally do not have a social network. Without it they fall back onto the social welfare and penal systems over and over again.
