About Integrating the Arts in an Elementary and Middle School Curriculum

For elementary and middle school educators who wish to learn strategies for integrating the arts in their classrooms

This institute is developed for elementary and middle school classroom teachers who wish to be introduced to strategies that integrate the arts across the curriculum. Additionally, the course reviews South Carolina Visual and Performing Arts Academic Standards and provides teachers with resource materials for curriculum design. The week-long institute will address topics in Defining Arts Integration, Dynamic Teaching through Kinesthetic Learning, Drama as a Classroom Strategy, Creative Writing, Literacy and Integrating Visual Art in the Classroom.

Participating educators are applicable to receive Graduate Credit from Clemson University.
