About Nyaka’s Annual Summer Celebration: Celebrating You, Our Supporters and Volunteers!

We want to slow down, spend some time in the sun, and celebrate You, our Amazing Supporters and Volunteers!

So invite your friends and family (we would love to meet them) and join us for a Cook Out and Family Friendly Fun!

Nyaka Staff will provide the following food and beverages; we just ask that you RSVP and bring a dish to pass if you wish!

Iced Tea, Lemonade, Water & Ice

Chicken Legs, Hamburgers, All Beef Hot Dogs, and Buns

Cheese, Onion, Lettuce, and Tomato
Mayonnaise, BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish

Fruit & Veggie Platters

Potatoes with Lemon Splashed Greens, Quinoa Salad, and Broccoli Coleslaw

Chips & Dips

Peanut Butter Cookies and Jell-O Cheesecake


We will have the Kestral Shelter near the playground.

Hawk Island offers rowboat and pedal boat rental, a swimming beach, Splash Pad®, sand volleyball, horseshoes, paved accessible walkways (1.5 miles) and fishing docks.
