About Mother's Day Mailing

Every year we try our best to give gifts to Nyaka's Grannies for Mother's Day. These women, the unsung heroes of the AIDS epidemic in Uganda, are selflessly raising orphans when they are barely able to provide for themselves. Many of these women are in need of very necessary items such as pit latrines, smokeless kitchens, houses, water harvesting tanks, or even something as simple as a garden hoe.

Our mission every Mother's Day is to raise money so that we can gift these items to Nyaka's neediest Grannies. The way we are able to do that is by sending out an appeal letter to our amazing supporters asking if they would like to give a gift to one of our Grannies for Mother's Day. Appeals = stamping, stuffing, and addressing envelopes.

If you are able to help us out with our mailing we would be super apprecaitive, but even more so, Nyaka's Grannies will be. Let me tell you from personal experience, there is no better feeling than seeing a Grannie's face light up as she tells you about how appreciative she is for Nyaka's help and how it has changed her and her grandchildren's lives.
