About Extra Mile

Our mission at the ​Newman Catholic Center is to cultivate an environment where Newark college students, can become the Catholic Christian leaders of tomorrow.​
EXTRA MILE is Newark's only mobile soup kitchen. It's a homeless outreach program consisting of college students who both physically and spiritually feed the local homeless.

We're looking for volunteers who:
