About Dial-In Newspaper & Magazine Service

Free, 24 Hours a Day, Every Day
This service enables visually and physically disabled individuals to "read" (hear) the morning paper, yesterday's paper and selected other publications - any time of day or night, seven days a week. Using only their own touch-tone telephones, they can access all of the available publications, whenever they choose to do so.
We need volunteers to help with:
Readers for the Dial-In Newspaper and Magazine services
Volunteers are asked to take a brief audition and commit to a weekly shift of two hours, between 6:00 am - 11:00 am, to read The Washington Post, selections of The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Time Magazine, People, and the Washingtonian Magazines into a computer, which will then be accessed by low vision or blind callers.
