About From Grass to Glass - Hillside's Gold Dairy Herd

Follow the herd for a unique morning as a dairy cow; learn about rotational grazing, "salad bar" grasses and cow nutrition as well as photosynthesis, the importance of dirt and the "healthy fat" found in grassed-based dairy products. This up close and personal look at the Hillside Herd is led by Dr. Doug Ayers. Fee is $5 per adult; $2 for children 10 to 18; not recommended for children under 10. Because we will be walking throughout our pastures (near the cows) safe, comfortable shoes and dress are recommended. The tour wraps up with a healthy sample of fresh Hillside Gold milk. Please register and pay at the Dairy Store. PLEASE PARK AT THE EDUCATION CENTER AND WALK DOWN TO THE DAIRY BARN. We will begin our day at 8:30 a.m.
