About Education Volunteers

Our Volunteers are an important part of the Jackson Zoo. Volunteers create quality experiences for guests and support programs that promote the Jackson Zoo’s mission. We have volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

Zoo Teens, Zoo Crew, and Docents simply need to have genuine interest in nature and conservation, be kind to humans, animals, and the environment, rand be dependable, since we need them to help us do things that allow Keepers and Maintenance to function more efficiently. And we LOVE a positive attitude!
If you can commit to a minimum of 1 year and 72 hours per year, you will be instrumental in the function of your Jackson Zoo!
