About Volunteer Program at The Haven at Skanda

The Haven is an all-volunteer organization, and we always welcome new volunteers to help with animal care, gardening & land management, and administration. Volunteers feed animals, clean their living areas, make sure they have clean fresh water, and groom them, play with them and love on them. Volunteers may also help with the gardens and orchards, and with fundraising and daily administrative support.

Application Process

Start the process with an online application at: http://www.thehavenatskanda.org/volunteer/.
Once this is complete, we will schedule you for an orientation session at the farm, where you will meet all the animals, hear about our approach, and ask any questions you may have. Because we work with vulnerable animals, we do conduct background checks on all applicants.
