About 12k's for the Holidays 2018

The 12k’s for the Holidays Charity Run is a 12k run, 5k run and 5k walk wind through the beautiful historic Fondren neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday, November 17th. This fabulous race is a fundraiser for The Good Samaritan Center, helping families in crisis for 40 years. Packet stuffing and packet pickup will be held at the Good Samaritan Center. Event day for the 12k's (Saturday, Nov. 17th) will be held at the Cedars in Fondren.

Volunteers will help fill bags for packet pickup. Food will be provided. Completion time is dependent on when all packets are finished

Volunteers will work in shifts (listed below) helping pass out race packets to runners along with tshirts and bib numbers.

Setup at the Cedars

November 16, 2018 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Volunteers will help set up tents and tables for the event. Completion time is dependent on when everything is completed.

Kid's Area @ The Cedars

November 17, 2018 7:30am – 12:00pm

This task is filled or completed

Volunteers will help in the Kid's Area. This will include: watching bouncy houses, serving sno balls, and painting faces.

Race Marshals

November 17, 2018 7:00am – 10:30am

This task is filled or completed

Race Marshals are located on the course directing runners, watching for cars, and cheering on runners! This is a very important volunteer position, because it keeps the course safe. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and they must be trained before the event.
