About The Gifted Gown Prom Shop
The Gifted Gown Prom Shop is our biggest and most anticipated event of the year. Prom is a special milestone in life and we want to help as many people as possible have the wonderful night they dream about. All guests receive a gown or tuxedo/suit, shoes, an accessory item, and dry cleaning (courtesy of Deering Cleaners Downtown) FREE OF CHARGE! We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us serve our community and make sure no one misses out on their very special occasion.
Application Process
All potential volunteers will need to fill out a Volunteer Information Packet located in the "Documents" section of GiveGab and will also need to attend a Volunteer Training class before being approved to volunteer with The Gifted Gown. Upon completion of the Volunteer Information Packet, please email it to: volunteer@thegiftedgown.com. Once we receive your completed packet, we will email you instructions on how to sign up for mandatory volunteer training in February.

We need volunteers to help with:
EVENT SET UP - 9a to 11a
Setting up for the Prom Shop is perfecting areas of the venue for guests, making sure all items have a place and are visually pleasing, etc. Everything we need to bring from other locations will be at the event venue so we need assistance in getting things perfected before our guests begin to arrive.
EVENT TEAR DOWN - 4p to 6p
The end of the event tear down is very important in order to ensure we collect all of our items and leave the venue the same way we entered. We need help to load all of our items for transport back to The Gifted Gown HQ which is only about one mile down the street..
PERSONAL STYLIST 1 - 10a to 1p
The Gifted Gown Personal Stylist will assist our guests in putting together their entire look for their special day. You will get to know a little about the guest you are working with and the things they are looking for (i.e. favorite color, what length gown would they prefer, would they like a colorful shirt with their suit, etc.), help them find the sizes they need in gowns or tuxedos/suits and find accessory items and shoes that complement their gown or tuxedo/suit to complete their look.
PERSONAL STYLIST 2 - 1p to 4p
The Gifted Gown Personal Stylist will assist our guests in putting together their entire look for their special day. You will get to know a little about the guest you are working with and the things they are looking for (i.e. favorite color, what length gown would they prefer, would they like a colorful shirt with their suit, etc.), help them find the sizes they need in gowns or tuxedos/suits and find accessory items and shoes that complement their gown or tuxedo/suit to complete their look.
FLOATER 1 - 10a to 1p
The Floater volunteer position is very important. This position will move around the event and make sure our guests are taken care of, you can help other volunteers with different tasks and jump in wherever there’s a need.
