Visitors from all over the region as well as the United States and internationally come to Schoharie Crossing each year. Thousands walk, cycle, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and explore the trails at the historic site. The Friends of Schoharie Crossing are looking to raise funds to install Rest & Reflection Benches at scenic locations on the Towpath Trail for those that may want to stop and take a few moments while on their adventure.
With your generous support, these benches can provide an extra amenity for the guests at the Erie Canal site - the only location that all three of the major phases of the canal can be viewed adjacent to each other.
Donations will be recognized by the Friends group during programs, meetings and also on a plague attached to each bench.
