Help Support CANShare 2016!

Support Boston's Bounty Bucks and Make Fresh Food Accessible for All!

1 in 6 Bostonians are hungry. Food insecurity is a reality for many of our city's residents, who do not know where they might get their next meal or have easy access to fresh, healthy food. The City of Boston's Office of Food Initiatives is  hosting the 30th anniversary of the annual CANshare fundraiser from October 25th to January 7th. CANshare contributions go to the Mayor’s Fresh Food Fund, which supports the Boston Bounty Bucks Program. The Boston Bounty Bucks program enables SNAP (formerly known as food stamp) users in the City of Boston to have access to produce available at the city farmer's markets by providing a dollar- for-dollar matching incentive.

BCYF and The Foundation for BCYF have committed to helping support the CANShare fundraiser---we hope to raise $1,000 through our online campaign and help make healthy, nutritious food accessible for all!
