Get your egg basket ready and hop on over!

The Discovery Center is seeking 16-20 volunteers to assist with our annual 'Eggstra-special Egg Hunt'.

10:30-10:50AM: Volunteer arrival, sign in, and activity overview.
10:50AM-1:30PM Volunteers are assisting with pre-planned, hands on crafts and activities with public visitors in our museum. During this time the public will also be participating with egg decorating demonstrations, viewing live bunnies, and enjoying live entertainment at our 'Bunny Hop' dance party in our theater.
1:30-2:30PM
At the conclusion of hands on activities at 1:30PM, volunteers are helping to hide plastic eggs throughout our 22,500 square feet of museum exhibits for our indoor egg hunt commencing at 2:30PM.
2:30-3:00PM
Volunteers are passing out treat bags for all egg hunt participants.


The Discovery Center is a not for profit 501(c)(3), hands on children's museum located in Binghamton, New York, celebrating playful learning since 1984.

Application Process

Individual volunteers must fill out a volunteer application prior to volunteering.

Clubs/organization coordinators must fill out a volunteer application for the entire group prior to volunteering.
