About Amplify The Caring Place Kick-Off event

Amplify is a 24-hour online giving event. Amplify The Caring Place, as we like to call it, begins on March 5th at 6pm in 2020 and will last until March 6th at 6pm. You have 24 hours to GIVE GIVE GIVE to your favorite non-profit. Don't worry, you can make that donation ahead of time so you don't forget!

If you'd like to donate in person at The Caring Place, we invite you to our event Kick-Off on March 5th from 4-7 pm in The Shops at The Caring Place. You are welcome to shop in our thrift stores, have some cookies and most importantly, donate. Staff will be on hand to walk your through online donating. The Caring Place board is generously matching funds this year up to $27,000. (That's right, they believe in our mission THAT much!) And, as a St. David's Foundation grant partner, we will receive matching funds through that organization as well. So, there really is no better time to give to The Caring Place!

About Us:
Since 1985, The Caring Place has provided for the basic human needs of all people in our community in a welcoming, respectful and caring way. Through two thrift shops, The Shops at The Caring Place and Second Helping, both in Georgetown, the organization is able to pay all operating expenses to serve a growing community. All monetary and food donations directly benefit neighbors needing food, utility, rent, transportation or medical assistance. The Caring Place is a community-based and community-supported organization.
