"Is your band ready?
Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome in competition performance...the Butler High School Marching Bulldogs!"
Do you remember the mixture of nervousness, excitement and pride you felt hearing those words, either as a student on the football field or as a parent in the stands? Will you ever forget your band friends, band camp, the uncomfortable bus rides, the feeling of being at home in the band room and the sense of accomplishment you felt after your "best run of the season", not to mention the trophies you collected??
For most of us who were fortunate enough to be a member of the Butler Marching Bulldogs family, we cannot imagine our high school years without it. Unfortunately, despite it's many benefits to students, enrollment in the marching band at Butler has been declining over the past several years. And while we have not raised our fees in many, many years, we believe that the cost may be a significant reason why students don't participate.
That's why we are asking for your help. We are raising funds for students who otherwise would not be able to join the marching band. Every dollar donated will be given directly to a student in need to pay their marching band fees. We don't want lack of money to prevent any student from having the marching band experience we did.
Donations in any amount are gratefully appreciated. Every dollar helps.
- As a thank you for donations of $100 or more, you will receive an exclusive Butler Marching Bulldogs Alumni tee shirt.
- For donations of $500 or more, your name will also be placed on a plaque in the band room as permanent recognition of your support and generosity to the band program.
