Our impact this Year...

We Taught: 

  • Over 300 youth (preK-12th grade) through after school enrichment, summer camps, and in school exploration. Providing cultural experiences to students at Craftsbury Schools, Albany Community School, Hazen Union, Lakeview Union, and Wolcott Elementary. 

  • Over 200 adults through classes including: basket weaving, yoga, drawing, painting, singing, writing, painting & more. 

We Welcomed: 

  • Over 800 community members to events. Including the Labyrinth opening, Let's Talk Film series, concerts, readings, gallery openings & more. 

    We Hired: 

    • Over 25 Teaching Artists who taught & performed: painting, theater, music, comedy,  poetry, basketweaving, puppetry & more. 

    We Presented:

    • Over 70 Artists through gallery exhibitions, workshops & the Holiday Market.

    About the Organization

    Located in Craftsbury, Vermont, The Art House is a non-profit that strives to develop and build the creativity of every community member through art classes (for children & adults), community events, three gallery spaces and a gift shop devoted to local art work.
    Since 2009, The Art House has been a cultural hub, not only the town of Craftsbury but for Orleans, Lamoille and Caledonia county. Drawing in artists and teaching artists from all over the state. Our programming includes painting, drawing, basket weaving, yoga, dance, book making, ceramics, film and much more! Our initiatives include: Stand-Up : for Social Justice, Get Up & Move: Preschool Movement & Music, Studio Night Out: a guided after school program for teens, Let's Talk: A Film Series focusing on Socially Relevant topics, and more! We also teach over 175 student afterschool at Craftsbury Academy, Wolcott Elementary and Albany School.
