About Looking for Relay for Life Volunteers

Tate County is looking for volunteers to help benefit the American Cancer Society. Annually in June, a group of volunteers fight for a great cause which is the Tate County Relay for Life event. This is fun-filled community event that is open to the public and bring awareness to this great cause. A group of teams join together and fundraise. The night consist of teams walking around a track to support friends and family members who have been affected by cancer. The first lap is taken by cancer survivors and their caregivers, they are also recognized with a special dinner. A luminary ceremony is also dedicated to those affected by cancer and those who has lost their battle to this disease.

Volunteers are asked to contact a Relay for Life committee member. The committee meets monthly - the 2nd Thursday of every month at Senatobia's Public Library at 6:00pm. There are several open positions to fill such as food committee, decorations, entertainment, hospitality, etc
