About SURJ RVA General Meeting

This week America has been forced to confront the reality that Confederate statues are symbols of white supremacy. Our August 27 general meeting will be a time for us to come together and reflect on what happened in Charlottesville, then further educate ourselves about how to engage with our community about Confederate symbols in RVA.

Tentative Schedule
6-7 pm: Cville debrief, General education on Confederate symbols and the connections to white supremacy and modern alt-right

7-8 pm: Breakout and discussion — practice talking with others about what Confederate symbols mean, and plug in to future work
