Shelter from the Storm

A fundraising campaign for Suicide Prevention & Crisis Service

Let teenagers in Tompkins County know where they can get free and confidential crisis counseling, by phone and on-line.

Shelter from the Storm

Middle and High School students deal with a lot of stress, which can lead to depression and anxiety. But, teens don’t always know where or how to get help for their emotional struggles.

We’d like to make sure that every teenager in Tompkins County knows about the Crisisline and The Chat, our 24-hour services providing free, confidential crisis counseling.

Just 50 cents will provide one middle or high school student with a pen, magnet, and bookmark to let them know where they can get help, plus a set of mental health posters for their school.

Your gift to “Shelter from the Storm” will help students talk about their struggles, identify their own best solutions, and possibly save a life!

For 7,500 middle and high school students in Tompkins County, our goal is $3,750.
