About Street Youth Ministry: Volunteer Details

Volunteers are treasured partners for Street Youth Ministry and will be needed at our Drop-in Center and everywhere else we serve in 2022! You bring God-given gifts and talents not present on our staff, and you join us in showing God's love in unexpected and delightful ways -- that's what SYMin is all about!
Opportunities are available for those who want to serve in-person at our Drop-in Center or our live events, as well as those who wish to serve on-line via the internet. Here are our top choices:
In person:
● Vaccinated volunteers needed who can come in once a week to our center for two hours.
● Outreach trainees needed who can accompany a team member a few times on outreach on a weekday and then recruit their own team members to start doing outreach on their own using our supplies, reporting prayer needs to us, and referring clients to us for further work.
● In-kind needs as listed on our page at thingstogetus.com. Most popular items include cases of bottled water, individually packaged toothbrushes, camping-friendly no-cook food.

Over the internet
● Volunteer for our weekly Wednesday night talent night meeting at 6 pm central time. Sign up at vol.SYMin.org.
● We especially need some talented people with Google ad words and Google web tools to define conversion goals on our website and blogging platforms.
● In-kind needs as listed on our Amazon Wish List and Thingstogetus.com.

From anywhere
● Start looking for homeless youth. Report them three times using our form. After you’ve done that, apply for a micro-grant to make sandwiches, give out socks, report back prayer needs and refer clients to our services as needed.

Street Youth Ministry welcomes volunteers! They are vital to our ministry! We offer both virtual and on-site opportunities, with and without interaction with clients.
