Widely celebrated as one of the world’s leading sculpture parks, Storm King Art Center has welcomed visitors from across the globe for over fifty years. Located only one hour north of New York City, in the lower Hudson Valley, its 500 acres of rolling hills, woodlands, and fields of native grasses and wildflowers provide the setting for a collection of more than 100 carefully sited sculptures created by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time. Storm King offers a unique and memorable experience with every season, as changing light and weather conditions transform both the grounds and the sculpture.
Fourteen works by David Smith anchor an outstanding collection of sculptures by artists such as Alexander Calder, Sol LeWitt, Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson, and Isamu Noguchi. The collection includes major works by contemporary sculptors including Magdalena Abakanowicz, Alice Aycock, Alexander Calder, Mark di Suvero, Andy Goldsworthy, Zhang Huan, Maya Lin, Nam June Paik, Richard Serra and Joel Shapiro, and is enhanced by loans of other works by artists such as Huma Bhabha.
