Reading Buddies Program
Hosted by: Stephens County Humane Society
About Reading Buddies Program
Does your child love dogs and cats? If so, come join us at the Stephens County Humane Society (714 Martin Luther King, Duncan) for a tail waggin’ good time! Reading will be held during the summer break on Thursdays, 3-4pm, beginning June 7th! Spots for this session will be filled on a first come/first serve basis, so we encourage you to call ahead to reserve a spot, 580 641-0667. Kids can read as long as they like during the time period. Readers will need to bring something to sit on (pillow, towel, small blanket), and their own books to read. Shelter animals will remain in their kennels while students sit outside the kennel to read, and we will also read to the cats in our cattery. It’s going to be a purrrfectly wonderful experience for all and we hope to see you there! Kids, Books, and Shelter Animals: A Winning Combination!
