About Summer Library Program Volunteers
The Starkville Public Library is looking for volunteers for its Children's Summer Program!
Registration for the program is May 31-June 4. Tuesday through Thursday, there are three shifts: 10 - noon, noon - 2, and 2 - 4 pm. On Friday and Saturday, there are two shifts: 10 am - noon and noon - 2 pm.
Registration volunteers will help kids and families sign up for the Summer Reading Program. Volunteers will give the adult a sheet asking for basic information like name and what grade the child will be in next school year. Volunteers would also hand out a registration packet.
Volunteers during the actual events will help set up the space for the presenter (move tables and chairs) and then help hand out prizes at the end of the programs. The dates and times for the events:
June 8 (Animal Tales of Kentucky) there will be 2 performances
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15 and 12:30-2:15
June 15 (Nutrition presentation)
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15
June 22 (MSU Sports Talk)
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15
June 28 (Freedom Ranch)
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15
July 13* TBA program could be on any day of the week
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15 and 12:30-2:15
July 20 (Tommy Terrific)
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15
July 26 (The Snakeman)
I will need volunteers from 9:30-11:15
