About Feral Cat TNR Program Team

Managing our community’s feral cat populations is crucial to controlling birthrates and giving ferals a better chance for a decent life. We have a major program operating in the Canyon county to trap (T) feral cats, transport them to a clinic for spay/neuter surgery (N), and then return (R) them to their home turf. We welcome new Trappers and Transporters to this important hands-on team!Trappers place humane traps at colony sites and monitor the site while trapping is in progress. Transporters move the trapped feral cats to one of our partner veterinary clinics for spay/neuter surgery. Feral cats are taken to surgery by 8am and are ready for pick-up and return to their home turf by late afternoon. Transporters need suitable vehicles that can keep cats warm and safe during transport. Trappers and Transporters must be able to lift traps with a cat inside.
