About Make the Difference for Homeless Animals

Volunteering at an animal shelter is a wonderful way to make an impact on lost or homeless animals right here in your community.

Southern Pines functions as the state's largest open-admission, no-kill shelter. Our volunteers make our mission possible and allow us to save more lives than we ever have before.

Here are some of the areas and tasks our general volunteers help with;
Dog Walking
Dog and Cat Enrichment
Cleaning and Organizing
Animal Care
Pet Therapy visits to assisted living facilities and college campuses
Dish Washing
Laundry
Dog Training and Behavior Modification (after training)
Assisting with our LIFESAVING transport program
Socialization
Making Cat and Dog Toys
And a lot more!

Schedules are flexible and volunteers make their own hours!
