Hawk Island Triathlon
About Hawk Island Triathlon
The Hawk Island Sprint Triathlon is Michigan's largest beginner-friendly multi-sport event because we welcome and support people of all ages, sizes, and abilities as they venture into the world of triathlon. Whenever possible, we make every effort to accommodate participants with special needs. Plus we have the best volunteers!
Held each year on the first Sunday after Memorial Day, it's also a great warm-up race for seasoned athletes gearing up for the summer triathlon season.
1.5k Swim - 40k Bike - 10k Run
Racers can self seed into elite, age group, or individual time-trial starts.
Get the whole family involved! Sign up young athletes who aren't yet ready for sprint distances for our Kids Triathlon on Saturday, May 31.
Distances vary according to age categories. Goldfish (6 and under) swim 25m, bike 150m, and run 100m. Dolphins (7-10) swim 100m, bike 3 miles, and run 1 mile. Sharks (11-14) swim 200m, bike 4.5 miles, and run 2 miles.
