About Scottdale Town Center Plan

This Plan updates Scottdale Borough’s 1998
Comprehensive Plan with a special focus on the Town
Center District. Scottdale’s downtown business district
gives the Borough its distinctive character. Its historic
architecture and small, family-owned businesses set
Scottdale apart from other towns in the region. However,
population decline and competition from large suburban
retailers have taken a toll on the vitality of the downtown.
This Town Center Plan develops realistic strategies to
counteract these challenges by building upon Scottdale’s
significant assets.
