About Become a Book Buddy This Spring!

A Book Buddy/Big Buddy is a volunteer without a dog who will work in a team with the same group of children in a program each week. They will implement literacy interventions formulated by SitStayRead, which include a reading and writing component. A Book Buddy/Big Buddy is a person who loves working with kids, can read in multiple styles with children, can write clearly, will follow written instructions, and works well in a team.
Commitment: 1 hour and 15 minutes per week for up to 8 weeks
Training Required: Volunteer Orientation & Literacy Training, Shadow a SitStayRead Program in action

2. RSVP & attend a Volunteer Orientation & Literacy Training
3. Complete & submit a SitStayRead detailed CPS Volunteer Registration Packet to Volunteer Coordinator
