About 4th Annual Classic Car Poker Run, Car Show and Party

We are celebrating our 4th Annual Classic Car Poker Run/show and Party. Last year 45 Classic car entries visited 7 local retirement homes to collect a poker card. The residents reminisced about their favorite as the cars drove by. The drivers were rewarded with smiles, stories, and even an offer to “swap wheels”! Many drivers commented that this was the best car poker run they’d experienced. Drivers returned to the Hayden Eagles to participate in a car show and People’s Choice Award.

The 50s themed after party included, raffles, silent auctions, games and dancing to live music by the Canfield Blues Band. Cash prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were given to the lucky poker hands.

Over $4,000 was raised. All proceeds are dedicated to our personalized birthday present ministry and special activities. By visiting isolated seniors, who often have no visitors at their facility, we assure them that they are loved, cherished and not forgotten. Gift cards are given to caregivers and staff on Christmas to let them know they too are appreciated.

This is our only fundraiser planned so we hope you can help us continue our ministry.
