About NATURE CONSERVATION

The project may be particularly appealing for anyone with an interest in environment protection or a desire to spend some time working in a peaceful natural environment.

India is a country well known for the richest varieties of wildlife in the world. It comprises rare species of wild animals, aquatic animals and insects.

Green revolution that was introduced in 1963 in India and the industrial revolutions resulted in excessive use of chemicals that started polluting the environment. The residues found their way in to the natural resources affecting the overall bio-diversity.

The negative effects of human activities including encroachment, chemical farming, deforestation and rapid industrialization, etc, have resulted in deterioration of bio-diversity. The ecological balance should be maintained and passed on to our future generation as it was gifted to us by our ancestors .Hence ,wildlife management and the natural resources conservation is increasingly becoming very essential in India.

Our conservation Project includes 3 kinds of programs and we believe all of them are equally important to work over in the current scenario .However if the volunteer’s wants to choose any one of them alone, it’s possible.

They are:

1. Organic Agriculture Programme

2. Plants and Bird species Protection

3. Wildlife Protection programme

We need volunteers to help with:

2. Habitat conservation Programme for birds :Plants and Birds have a major role on the ecology.
Our habitat conservation programme is a joint programme to protect the birds as well as the native plants of any particular zone .
Our programme aims at creating and protecting the natural habitat of the different kinds of birds that are native to particular area. Plants are the major habitat as well as the source of food for a majority of birds .
As a counter action against the deforestation done in the rural villages, we encourage tree growing among the farmers as well as the common public.
The volunteers will be involved in habitat conservation for different species of birds by ,
a. Raising and maintaining a nursery of variety of plant species that are native to the local district.
b. Tree planting and maintaining
c. Seasonal Seed collection
d. Creating awareness among the local folks on the values of birds and plant species
e. Identification of bird species and studying their behaviour
