About Volunteer to help the kitties

Volunteers are needed to help our organization provide outstanding care for the cats and kittens. We have a wide variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities and would love to have you join us. Training will be provided for all opportunities.

Volunteer opportunities fall within three categories:

Medical Support: Interested in helping with spay/neuter surgeries, intake exams or post-surgical cat care? Medical Support opportunities are for you! (This opportunity is at our Ocala location)

Adoption Services and Care @ PetSmart: Want to spend time with the kitties at our Auxiliary Adoption Location at PetSmart in Lady Lake? We're looking for volunteers to help clean the area, feed our kitties, spend some cuddle time with them and help introduce them to their potential new families!

General Assistance at Sheltering Hands: Our main location in Ocala can always use some help. Volunteers may help with cat care in Coco's House, data entry and filing, assisting with light cleaning or building upkeep needs and more. Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with you based on your interests and schedule. (This opportunity is at our Ocala location)
