About Art Kit Day at Art for the People

Join us for a few minutes or stay for 2 hours in the comfortable Art for the People Gallery filled with affordable local art. We will be assembling our Origami and Super Hero Coloring Card art kits for Depelchin Children's Center and The Austin Congregant Meal Program.

The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department partners with Meals on Wheels and More for the delivery of congregate meals to recreation and senior activity centers through out Austin. The program is open to anyone 60 years of age or older. In addition to lunch, participants share social and recreational activities and receive additional benefits such as nutrition education, health and welfare counseling and information and referral services.

The 2019 quarterly Share Art Heal Art Kit Days at Art for the People are made possible by the generous donation of 5% of exhibition art sales from the 3rd Annual "Art of Celebration" group exhibition.

Join us. It's free. We will be assembling the art art kits for art projects others will complete.
