About Knight Memorial Library Book Sale
These ongoing or one time volunteer opportunities are with the Friends of Knight Memorial Library Book Sale which operates out of the Community Room at Knight Memorial Library.
Position duties are varied and may include setting up (putting out signage, hanging banners, setting up tables both inside and out when weather permits and picking up litter), shelving, asisting customers, cashiering, closing down and other related duties.
The times are specific for this postion. They are:
1) Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 - 1:00. On these days sorting new book donations into genres for storage, shelving or recycle are part of the experience along with the above described BOOK SALE duuties.
2) First Saturdays of the month 10:00 - 5:00 (includes set up and close down time along with the BOOK SALE itself which is open from noon - 4:00. Prior set up for the monthly BOOK SALE takes place on the day prior, Friday noon - 3:00.
This position requires excellent organization, communication and people skills. A sense for details is a boon. Spanish fluency would be helpful but is not a requirement. Supervisory supports will be given.
