About Arboreal Lichen Collection Event

Join the Selkirk Conservation Alliance as we collect arboreal lichens to support the endangered Selkirk Mountain Caribou recovery plan. Lichens collected will be sorted, dried, and used by the Kalispel tribe in a maternal pen program; protecting pregnant cows and their newborn calves until they are strong enough to elude predators.

Application Process

Collection locations are restricted to permit locations. Please email us [email protected] for more information no later than 5/19/2017. This will be the first of several events this summer.
