SciWorks Celebrates Tennis Day on Sunday, July 28th

Winston–Salem, NC – In partnership with the Winston-Salem Open Tennis Tournament, SciWorks will celebrate Tennis Day on Sunday, July 28 from 1:00-5:00pm. Visitors will be able to play tennis on a special “short court” installed inside the SciWorks Great Hall. In addition, there will be an opportunity to meet Bo, the Tennis Ball mascot, win tickets to the Winston-Salem Open, and participate in other sports-themed activities.

Visitors can also explore SciWorks’ current featured exhibition, Sportsology: The Science of Sports. Participants test their agility, endurance, speed, and strength while they learn more about the science behind their favorite sports in this interactive, bilingual exhibit. All activities and exhibits are included in museum admission.

SciWorks is located at 400 W. Hanes Mill Road (just off University Parkway and off US 52 at Exit 116). The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00-5:00pm. For more information about this event or other programs and exhibits, visit www.sciworks.org.
