About Junior Solar Workshop
Gather up to four of your friends to discover how to use the sun to power a model car. Once you and your team have your model car up and running, you're ready for the big race — the Junior Solar Sprint on Saturday, May 5. Car materials required include solar panel, motor, mounting brackets, wires, wheels, axles, gears, body components. Kits are available for sale the day of the workshop at $40 per kit. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Volunteers are on-call for IMAX®DOME film, exhibit openings and our weekend programs. Volunteers greet museum guests, distribute programs, give directions and conduct educational activities. Minimum age is 14. Flexible schedule.
