About Junior Solar Sprint
(Rain/cloud date is Sunday, May 6, starts at noon)
Cheer for your favorite student team as sun-powered, race vehicles head toward the finish line. Awards are for top five finished, five best designed vehicles, the fastest heat and overall winner. Teams of up to four students up through 8th grade may participate. Registration per team is $10 and must be received by Friday, April 20. An optional solar car kit is available for $40. For information, call 804.864.1400. Junior Solar Sprint participants and one parent/chaperone admitted free. Family members of participants admitted for $5.

Volunteers are on-call for IMAX®DOME film, exhibit openings and our weekend programs. Volunteers greet museum guests, distribute programs, give directions and conduct educational activities. Minimum age is 14. Flexible schedule.
